Since 1947, Hearn's have been at the forefront of the UK Coach Hire and Passenger Transport Industry. Based in North London, United Kingdom, we are ideally located to service customers based in Greater London and the Home Counties.
We have a dedicated fleet of 60+ vehicles with a huge variety in coach sizing and specification to suit all requirements.
All our vehicles are maintained by our own in-house engineering team, Hearn's Fleetcare, which allows us to ensure only the very best in vehicle safety standards and reliability.
The Past
The Journey So Far...
Hearn's was established in 1947 by the late husband and wife Ron and Patricia Hearn. They identified a market for group travel by coach, a market that was on a rapid incline in the post-war era. Ron, a mechanic by trade and only 21 years old at the time, took the decision to open Hearn's Coaches in North London. Over the next 75 years, they would lead the company to become one of the most high-profile operators in the UK and a household name in the local area of operation. By the time Ron passed away in 2019, the company had grown to a fleet of 45 coaches and was the company of choice for some of the best schools and businesses in the country.
The Present
Keeping the wheels turning...
Following an acqusition of another coach company in 2022, the Hearn's group now operates a fleet of 62 vehicles across North London and the Home Counties, making it the largest independent coach operator in the South East. Today, the business is run by mother-and-son 2nd and 3rd Generation family members, Janis Thacker (Chairwoman) and Jamie Thacker (Managing Director) who provide daily oversight of the companies operation. We have a wide range of clients spanning across many industry sectors including education, business, tourism, media, government and sports teams. In 2022, the company was also pleased to become one of the UK's first bus partners to FlixBus, a global transport company providing over 5,000 intercity journeys per day.

Our Committment to be the best in the UK...
Since 2023, Hearn's have been very proud members of the "Guild of British Coach Operators". This is a professional accreditation body which is invite-only and subject to a vigorous audit & selection process. We achieved a 100% first time pass rate into Guild membership and now are part of a 25 member strong body representing the very best of coach hire operators across the UK. As part of this scheme, we are now able to recommend operators in other parts of the country should our regular clients have requirements further afield.
