Hearn’s Coaches is a family run business and prides itself on being one of London’s most reputable names in coaching for over 69 years. Established by Ronald and Patricia Hearn in 1947, the company is now run by three generations of the family who work meticulously to uphold the values our company was founded on – safe and reliable luxury transportation for our customers.
Over the years it has grown significantly into one of the largest independently owned coach companies in the Southern Counties and prides itself on running a fleet of more than 40 vehicles. Our skilled maintenance crew ensure that all vehicles undergo regular and intensive safety checks that even surpass the current stringent legislative requirements. With all the maintenance undertaken in-house utilising state of the art technology to exacting VOSA standards, we feel justified in stating that all our passengers can be assured that safety and comfort are our number one priorities.
All our vehicles benefit from Air Conditioning and many have additional luxury features including DVD players* and Toilet facilities to ensure the journey, however short or long can be undertaken in comfort. With the majority of the coaches sporting a Scania, Mercedes or Setra badge, it is clear that the investment has been made in solid, dependable and reliable vehicles.
At the core of our operations, lies our heavy commitment to school contract work where, each and every term week, we engage in approximately 15,000 pupil movements to and from school in addition to their off-site swimming and sports activities. We are fortunate enough to be engaged by some of the most prestigious and academic national and local schools in the area and have been working with many of them for several years and some daily for 50 years!
In addition, we have an enviable portfolio of Private Hire work including social group functions, wedding hire, corporate travel arrangements, film company movements, London film premieres – the list is endless. Some of the more high profile work we have been involved in has been the American Presidential visit, the Papal visit to the UK and providing daily studio transportation of actors in all of the Harry Potter movies.
As a company, we have a long-standing and active membership with CPT – the Confederation of Passenger Transport – being the government recognised trade association focussed on legislation, practises and standards in the coaching industry.
Our team of professional drivers are all fully licensed and hold a Driver CPC Certificate of Professional Competence. In addition, every driver is required to undergo a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) to ensure that our passengers are in the safest of hands.
