We are raising money for Transaid!

This weekend, a member of our team will be riding 400+ KM from London to Paris in an attempt to raise money for Transaid.

Jamie Thacker, a Director of Hearn’s Coaches, will be setting off on Friday morning from Richmond Park, London on a 3 day challenge all the way to The Eiffel Tower, Paris. He will be travelling to Portsmouth before catching an overnight ferry to Caen where he will spend the next 36 hours cycling across the beautiful French countryside before reaching the French capital.

The ride will raise funds for Transaid’s Road Safety and Healthcare initiatives in Sub-Sahara Africa.

Behind HIV/AIDS and Malaria, road deaths are the third biggest killer in Sub-Sahara Africa.
Transaid will deliver better training for drivers in order to improve competence and reduce
road risk and improve road safety standards and systems by working with governments to
tighten enforcement on the maintenance of vehicles and overloading Transaid are also
transforming rural access to better services so that men, women and children can receive
healthcare in times of need, especially pregnant mothers who have health complications.
